Title & Meta Pixel-Width Checker

Measure the pixel width of a title and meta description against Google desktop limits, with a search result preview.

Shows where Google is likely to cut your title or description, measured in pixels rather than characters.

How to use this tool

This tool estimates how wide your title tag and meta description are in pixels and shows a basic preview of the snippet. Use it to catch text that may be cut off in search results.

  1. Edit the Title Tag field. The counter shows characters and estimated pixels against 580.
  2. Edit the Meta Description field. Its counter compares against 920.
  3. If the title goes over 580, the Auto-Trim button appears.
  4. Check the preview, then click Copy to take the title, description, Open Graph and Twitter card tags.

What it checks

Questions

Is the pixel width exact?

No. It is an estimate from per-character width values, not a measurement of Google's real font rendering. Treat it as a guide and leave some margin.

Does Auto-Trim rewrite my own title?

No. It replaces the field with a fixed example title, so use it only as a demo and trim your own title by hand.

Does it show mobile results?

No. This tool shows one estimate per field and a single preview, not separate desktop and mobile layouts.
