Meta Description Audit & SERP Pixel Optimizer
Audit a meta description: pixel width, query words shown in bold as Google does, and rewrite templates to adapt.
Flags descriptions that are too short or too long for the result snippet, the kind Google tends to replace.
How to use this tool
This tool scores a meta description on length, mobile fit, keyword match and call to action, and suggests three rewrites. Use it when a description looks too short, too long or off-topic.
- Enter the Target Search Query and the Brand Name.
- Paste your description into Meta Description Content.
- Read the score, the rewrite risk label and the four checks.
- Click Apply This Description on a suggested variant if you want it in the box.
- Click Copy Patch to copy the meta tag and Open Graph patch.
What it checks
- Estimated desktop pixel width against a 420 to 920 pixel range.
- A mobile fit check on width and character count.
- Whether the words of your target query appear in the description.
- Whether the text has an action verb and a specific figure or proof point.
- A score out of 100 and a Google auto-rewrite risk label, both from the rules in this tool.
- Three suggested descriptions with their character and pixel counts.
Questions
Can this predict whether Google will rewrite my description?
No. The risk label comes from this tool's own score and is a rough signal. Google chooses snippet text per search.
Are the suggested rewrites ready to publish?
Treat them as starting points. Edit them so they describe your actual page.
What length should a description be?
The tool flags descriptions under about 420 or over about 920 estimated pixels. These are its rules of thumb, not a Google rule.
