RankWhy is free while it is in beta. You pay nothing to RankWhy. The only paid service a run touches is DataForSEO, and that runs on your own account.
What a run costs, and who bills it

Your DataForSEO login is passed through to DataForSEO for that one request and is never stored or logged by RankWhy.
AI credits
Every account gets 300 AI credits during the beta. One credit is one AI call: a keyword job uses 2 (intent, then patterns), an article about 12 (one per section plus title and a verifier check). Calls that fail are not charged. Ask us for more from the contact page.
Limits
- 30 page reads per minute and 5 AI steps per minute for each visitor.
- A daily cap on AI steps across all users while the service is free.
- Up to 10 active MCP keys per account.
After the beta
Paid plans will come later. Prices are not set yet; this page will say so before anything changes, and nothing you run during the beta will be billed by RankWhy afterwards.
Questions
Do I need a DataForSEO account?
Only for the keyword agent, which reads the Google top 20 through your DataForSEO account. The page checker and the free tools work without one.
Does RankWhy store my DataForSEO password?
No. It is sent to DataForSEO for the request you make and is not written to disk or logs.
