Live DNS Lookup with SPF & DMARC Records
Resolve a domain's live A and NS records and show its SPF and DMARC records.
Runs a real DNS lookup from our server, so you see what resolvers return now.
How to use this tool
Use this to see what public DNS says about a domain, including its address records and email authentication records.
- Enter a domain such as example.com in the domain box.
- Press Probe Live DNS & TLS.
- Read the DNS & Email Auth Records panel.
- Check the SSL panel on the right too, since both lookups run together.
What it checks
- A records, shown as IPv4 addresses.
- The first two NS records.
- The SPF record, found as a TXT value starting with v=spf1.
- The DMARC record, read from _dmarc.yourdomain.
- Shows Not detected when SPF or DMARC is absent.
Questions
Does it show MX, CNAME or CAA records?
The server also looks up AAAA, MX and TXT records, but this page only shows A, NS, SPF and DMARC. It does not query CNAME or CAA.
Does it grade my SPF or DMARC?
No. It shows the record text or Not detected, and does not score the syntax.
Where does the data come from?
The RankWhy server resolves the records through the /api/dns-ssl route.
